I don’t have much food or money left at home. I owe Steward Zhou three pieces of silver. What am I going to do?
Meng Hao laments about his poor state
on Chapter 1: Scholar Meng Hao

Steward Zhou is the person that Meng Hao owed three pieces of silver to before he became a cultivator.[1]

His family is famous in Yunjie County where Meng Hao was raised. He later moved to the capital of State of Zhao. [2]

Meng Hao was finally able to repay him through his descendant millions of years later.[3]

  • He is often mentioned all throughout the novel as Meng Hao constantly remarks how he was never able to unravel the thread of karma connecting him to Steward Zhou; simply stated, his being unable to repay the debt he owed.
