He somehow becan a part of the painting that made up Dao Heaven's Paragon Magic and remained there until he was awoken by Meng Hao's Paragon Bridge.

WARNING: Spoilers from Renegade Immortal

Slaughter was one of Wang Lin's merged Essence True Bodies born from comprehending, evolving and merging purely the essence of Slaughter and Absolute End, while separating all other essences from himself. Slaughter calls himself 戮默 recognizing and referring to the two essences that make up himself.

History[]

Meng Hao first saw him inside a painting which was the paragon magic of Dao Heaven. There, he easily he negated Meng Hao's Paragon Bridge. Afterwards, Meng Hao, unwittingly, managed to get a response from Slaughter after he saw the Paragon Bridge. Soon, Slaughter left the painting that was the paragon magic of Dao Heaven, effectively wasting the technique.[citation needed]

Later, during the time that Meng Hao was collecting his "debt" from the Song Luodan, he, along with other Dao Realm experts, saw Slaughter, who used a magic that removed his memory from their minds. However, Meng Hao, with the help of his Hexes, managed to keep his memory. Apparently, this was a test by Slaughter to determine if one is worthy of following him.

Meng Hao noticed the weird way in which Slaughter walked and was flabbergasted to find that it was a magic that was the very essence of the Dao of Time. After a long time, Meng Hao managed to learn the walking technique. [citation needed]

He travels to the Wang Clan with Meng Hao by his side and talks to Wang Mu's Master. Wang Mu's Master is surprised by his appearance, stating he thought he had dissipated long ago. They discuss briefly about a certain man and a woman, whom Wang Mu's Master states had left long ago and never returned. Wang Mu's Master then addresses Slaughter as Wang, but does not reveal his full name. However, this alone was enough to reveal to the accompanying Meng Hao that Slaughter was a Patriarch of the Wang Clan and that the clan did not originate from the Mountain and Seas. He then looks off into distance beyond the starry sky and notices two large landmasses speeding towards the Mountain and Seas and murmurs how they" were about to arrive before departing.

After leaving the Wang Clan, Meng Hao asks Slaughter to teach him one of his spells. He tells him that if he could master Spatial Bending, then he would pass on the secret of Call The Wind to him the next time they met.

Before the invasion of the 33 Heavens, Slaughter promised Shui Dongliu that he would help him once as payment for staying inside the Mountain and Sea Realm. This one help came in the form of a single punch that entirely demolished one of the Immortal God Continent's landmass' four corners. This served to delay them and heavily injure the forces of the 33 Heavens.[1] A large number of cultivators and paragons from the continent then tried to pursue Slaughter, but stopped when he revealed his face to them. Slaughter's face was identical to that of the giant statue of the Immortal God Continent's transcendor and the pursuers were filled with expressions of shock and disbelief, addressing him as "The Patriarch.

He did not make another appearance until the end of the novel, where he was seen aboard Old Man Extermination's ship when Meng Hao boarded it with Xu Qing.
