A sinister magic learned by Meng Hao in the ancient Demon Immortal Sect. [1] It seems to be a fairly common magic as multiple users are seen throughout the series. It is regarded as being highly taboo due to the pain and humiliation it causes on the target as well as the violation of privacy in both the target and the target's clan, sect, or other affiliations.
Usage[]
The user usually has to make contact with the target in order to begin the soul searching. [citation needed] The user then floods the target with their divine sense [2] in order to view all of the memories of the target. However, if the target was damaged severely, then only a fraction of the memories can be viewed. [3] The process has always resulted in the complete death of the target except in cases where the deceased has a magic capable of reviving them after death such as being a member of the Echelon. [2]
